What Kind of Game is this?
This game is called "Gochakyara" or Jumbled Characters game and is a unique game systemor Jumbled Characters game and is
a unique game system.

The roots of this game dates back 30 years ago.
This game is based on the game first released on PCs in 1988, called "First Queen". (Later, it was also released on home console machines)
The game screen has been made larger, battles allowing using a 2nd added overall game play has been upgraded to be more powerful!
You can enjoy the original translucent music used in the original game, composed by “Masaki Sasaki”.

You create many characters in this game and it may appear as an action game when you are fighting enemies but each character can think
for themselves and will fight and act on their own.

Players can take control of a character and move them out of dire situations. In other words, basically, you are their “guardian”. Refer to
“Playing the Game”.

If the characters are in a battle they can win, you can leave them alone. When fighting against a stronger foe, use of items and other abilities
might be required.

Take a look below for details.

The horizontal screen size is 1920 and can simultaneously display 2 friendly units.
Details of each character and their parameters are shown and the game has been made easier to view.
2 units can be used in this version but for people who are playing this game for the first time, using 1 unit to play is also possible!

Fig. 1 "Next" Version during 2 unit battle. When fighting battles on a large map, try and keep your characters as close together as possible.

Compatible with Mouse, Keyboard and Gamepad.
The mouse can be used to select the where you want your characters to go. When you select “Move with Mouse”, areas outside the map
you canselect will beshown, making it easier for you to choose an area.

In the "Hold mouse position" setting, when you click an area away from your characters, a "flag" will be setup where they can move to and
the characters willmove toward that position even after you release the mouse button.

If the distance to the flag is too far or if the route is too complicated, the flag will disappear.
There is also a "Move to mouse position" function and if the "flag" should disappear hold down the mouse button and the characters will
move towards wherethe cursor is.

Flags cannot be set to areas that characters cannot move to such as inside walls. (If a route cannot be round, the "flag" may remain visible.)

Characters can be moved in 4 directions when using the keyboard and gamepad.
When using the gamepad, you can move in 4 directions with either of the left and right controls.
You can also move the view of the map instead of moving the characters. (Stop control of the characters and pause the game)

If the character you are controlling can launch attacks like archers, you can fire weapons by pressing the space key or the joypad button.
Click on the character to fire a weapon with the mouse. (When doing this, set the Direct Change setting in the System Settings to "OFF")
You can zoom in and zoom out of the map with the mouse wheel, keys or joypad. (The display is limited according to the screen size)

This is a game where you control and manipulate many characters.
In this game you make and battle against units that are made up of different types of characters.
When strong characters are surrounded by many enemies, it would be difficult for even them to escape. To make a path for them to get away,
you either mustdefeat the weaker characters or send it reinforcements.

On the other hand, if strong characters are repeatedly used to surround enemies, they will gradually become fatigued and will be able
to be defeated.

Each character has its own will or mind.
The player can directly control one of the characters (the Control Character).
Clinking of the life bars of the left and right characters lined up vertically on the screen will change that character to the Control Character.
(for keyboard, Q, A)

The game will pause and the character will be blinking. A small window will appear showing its strength and items. (See fig. 2 below)
Click on this window if you want to use items for healing, etc. (You can also press U on the keyboard)
Other characters will decide on their own whether to fight or retreat.

For example, if a regular "Soldier" becomes injured in battle, he will escape and rest until he recovers, however "Knights" will fight without
retreating.

Also, since Knights will fight in an "honorable" manner, they will not surround enemies.
There are some “compatibility” factors depending on the opponents you fight. It's difficult to understand because it is not expressed in numbers,
but for example,Druids and Priests are very effective against the undead.

Injuries will automatically heal.
Character will automatically fight when coming into contact with enemies. When a character becomes injured, its green life bar will shorten
and become red.
The character will be defeated when the green bar disappears.

Get away from the enemy before the bar becomes completely read and move to a location that is safe to recover. When the life bar is restored,
go back into the battle.

The yellow bar below the green bar represents stamina and when this is gone; the character will not be able to defend itself and will receive
damage.

Stamina cannot be recovered unless you eat rations or make camp.

You can issue order to your entire troops.
As you’re fighting battles, the troops may become scattered. To prevent troops from wandering off to where you cannot see them, issue retreat
orders to get them back to their original destinations or standby orders strengthen defense.

If you issue the battle command and let the control character automatically take action, you will be able to do nothing and just watch.

The NEXT version allows you to fight with two units.
If you select two-unit battles, you can call on units in the adjacent map as reinforcements when fighting battles.
The units called in as reinforcements will automatically fight, however you can also switch the units between reinforcement and original units.
When the unit that called for reinforcements moves out of their map, they will switch to become reinforcements.

Fig. 2 (Left) Two units overwhelm the enemy! (Right) I called for reinforcements, but there is still some distance. Will help come in time?

In two-unit battles, the enemy will also have 2 units. When fighting two-unit battles, it becomes easier for character to wander out of sight and
become defeated.

”Automatic change in a pinch” is not applicable to troops that a reinforcements. Pay attention to the timing and switch the involved characters
and controls.
